Creative Ways to Attach Documents in Searchie

Ready to build your Searchie knowledge and get some ideas flowing? I recently created a short video for you that shows a multitude of ways to add attachments in Searchie. You should always add any attachments (such as PDFs) to the video itself. However, not every viewer will pick up on that. It’s important to add the attachments to your Hub in other ways so that the viewer will easily see and access them.

Add Attachments as CTAs

You should add attachments in Searchie as Calls to Action, or CTAs. You can have a Searchie-created button that says “attachments” and takes the user to wherever the attachments are stored (such as Canva, Google Drive, or elsewhere). Another alternative is to have a thumbnail that says “attachments” that fits with the branding and design of your Hub.

Create a Simple List

Alternatively, you can create a simple list of the linked attachments right there on the same page as the video. As above, you can do this with or without a thumbnail.

Keep Design in Mind

Make it easy for viewers to notice your attachments by putting the CTA or list directly under your video. Also, it helps to use the fields of color on your Hub to help the viewer understand that the attachments are related to the video.

Your turn

Which method do you think is best, as a Hub designer as well as a user? I’d love you to drop me a comment and let me know.
