Searchie: An All-in-one Online Video Management Tool for Content Creators

Searchie Seduced Me—and It’ll Seduce You, Too

If you’re a content creator, entrepreneur, creative, coach, vlogger, or podcaster, you are creating new video and audio content all the time. And if you’re anything like me, you’re looking for ways to save time and money creating it and to make it more interesting and exciting for your prospects, students, and clients. That is why, when I first explored Searchie last summer, I fell in love! So in love that I decided to pivot my entire business around it.

I believe that once you know all of the ways Searchie can uplevel your business and save you time, you too will be seduced by Searchie.

So, what is Searchie? In short, it’s a video content management tool. I often tell people it’s like Netflix, Spotify, and your favorite app and/or website all rolled into one. Searchie is an easy-to-use, versatile, and powerful tool that allows you to maintain a handle on the ever-growing content you produce and put it to maximum use.

There are four aspects to Searchie that make it uniquely useful and made me fall hard for it: playlists, tags, auto-captioning, and Searchie Hubs.

1) Playlists Provide Your Audience with Personalized Content

Just like the perfect lover, Searchie lets me talk about whatever I want and play whatever media I want, whenever I want. But unlike the fantasy of always getting to pick the radio station in the car, this control allows you to be the ultimate media manager for your business.

Take all that video or audio you’ve created for your business and load it into Searchie. There are a bunch of ways to do that. You can link directly to Facebook pages and groups or popular podcast sites. Or, you can connect to Google Drive, Dropbox or your own files. (There are other ways, too. This is just a sample.) Almost all of this can be automated so you don’t have to think about it. Whatever works easiest for you, the idea is just to get it into Searchie.

Once it’s there, it’s time to distribute the content out to your people. This is where Playlists come in. Think of this like creating a Spotify playlist. Create a list for your client, Susie, who needs all the videos from your one-on-one meetings. Or, create a list for the members in your course. The list can be just one module of your course. Create a second playlist to host module two of your course, so when your members are ready to consume that content, they can.

Playlists can be shared by a custom URL or by embedding the content on your favorite platform. Share it in an email, over social media, on a website, a landing page—wherever your audience will consume content.

If at any time you decide a piece of content no longer belongs on a playlist, a simple click removes it from that list. . .voila! It’s so simple to curate exactly the content you want—all the time, in all the places. Your friends can even like and share your lists. How great is that?!

2) Use Tags to Organize and Deliver Your Video Content

If you’re into role play, Searchie is your kind of partner: With the tags feature, Searchie lets you play the sexy librarian, or Iron Man in his computerized suit. Before your eyes roll too far back into your head, let me explain.

Whenever you create a new piece of content—whether it’s a Facebook Live video, a coaching call, or a podcast, you can store it in Searchie and tag it with keywords. Later, when you want to search your ever-growing library of content, these keywords help you to search this content and to create playlists of related content. These playlists can be part of free or paid course content, a lead magnet, a landing page, or more.

So just like Tony Stark, you can instantly call up the information you need, and Searchie will play the role of your exoskeleton, supporting you as you fly through the air towards your goals.

Tags can also be used in Searchie to deliver content to your members in membership site hubs or course content to students in online classes. It’s a cinch to create tags for a customer based on their answers to an intake form, so you can provide content that is tailored to their purchases, interests, or skill level. Tagging your members or customers in this way allows you to show them only the content that is relevant to their needs and hide extraneous content. Your customers don’t get lost or overwhelmed by a firehose of content—you lead them through a defined learning path.

3) Searchie Captions

  • Searchie Captions Help You and Your Audience Find Information

Has your partner ever pretended to listen to you while looking at their phone or the TV? I know I’m guilty of that. One reason Searchie will seduce you is that it not only listens to every word you say, it writes it down! And unlike any human partner, when you say, “That’s not exactly what I said,” it says, “I’m sorry, dear. Please correct me.” No wonder my husband feels a bit threatened!

If you’re looking for that coaching call when you mentioned Disneyland, you could spend all day—but not if you’re a Searchie user! Simply search for “Disneyland,” and you’ll be shown the exact moment it was uttered in each and every video or audio content you have in your Searchie library.

How is that possible? Because Searchie automatically creates captions with each piece of content, and these captions are searchable. It’s a search engine within your content library!

There are way more benefits than just being able to search the captions, though.

  • Searchie Captions Make Your Content Accessible

Being able to provide captions on your videos has become a requirement: It’s a convenience for people who prefer to listen with the sounds off and a necessity for people with hearing impairments. It’s important for your business to be ADA compliant, and Searchie is an easy way to make your audio and video material accessible.

  • Searchie Captions Add Value with Transcripts

Want to provide your customers transcripts as an added value? Searchie makes it super easy to transform the captions into transcripts.

Searchie allows you to provide support for learners of different learning styles. Not only can the customer watch the video, they can read the caption as they watch, or read the transcript without the video—or listen to the audio without watching the video (yes, Searchie allows you to create a podcast-style audio file as well). Talk about serving your customers well!

  • Searchie Has Keyword Search Capability

Your customers also get the capability to search within the content via keyword. So if a customer is taking your course and they recall a moment when you told a story about your ukulele but they have no idea what module it was in, they can find it lickety-split.

Sounds like Searchie lets YOU seduce your audience, huh?

4) Create a Courses, Membership Sites, & Sales or Landing Pages with Searchie Hubs

When I say “The Hubs,” I don’t mean my husband. I’m flinging the word “Hubs” around a lot, now that I’m deep in a relationship with Searchie. Should my husband be worried? You tell me: Searchie is super flexible and willing to do whatever I want, whenever I want. Searchie allows me to easily and powerfully serve my clients, and Searchie Hubs serve as the portals between me and my audience.

Hubs are Searchie’s customer-facing interfaces. Think of them like websites. It’s easy to create a Hub—click here to join the waitlist for my four-day course to learn to create your own Hub. Hubs can be online courses, membership sites, landing pages, lead magnets, and more.

Searchie Hubs are incredibly easy to design and set up. Do you know how to drag and drop? Then you have the basic skills already!

For those who want additional support or who don’t have a lot of time, I design and develop Searchie Hubs and I also sell customizable templates that you can use to create a beautiful Searchie Hub on your own.

Canva integrates beautifully with Searchie, and it’s a snap to use Canva to create beautiful cover designs for the videos and other content in your Searchie Hub.

Within your Searchie Hub, you can have password-protected areas for paid membership (or the entire hub can be password-protected).

Your clients can choose from a Netflix-style assortment of playlists that you provide for them in the Hub. You can also link to outside sources such as the Facebook group for your membership.

But what if the content you deliver isn’t all video and audio? No worries: Searchie Hubs allow for pdfs and text files to be uploaded as well. You can provide a rich course or membership experience in Searchie!

Another amazing thing about Searchie Hubs: they work and display beautifully on all types of devices, from phones to desktop computers. Set it up once and it works on all devices!

Searchie Analytics Let You See What’s Happening in Your Online Business

As you can see, Searchie is an incredibly flexible and accommodating partner. But here’s another sexy aspect of Searchie that is hard to come by in real-world lovers: honest feedback—in the form of analytics.

There’s nothing worse than not knowing how things are going. With Searchie, you’re not left with the silent treatment or the dreaded “I’m fine.” You get hard data—an analytics dashboard.

Searchie’s analytics dashboard lets you look at:

  • Visits

  • Audience retention

  • Keyword search queries

  • Video plays

  • Rating scales

This data lets you know what content your customers are lapping up and what content is dying on the vine. Armed with that knowledge, you can create future content that serves your customers even better!
