How Does Search Work in Searchie?

Searchie is a remarkable video and content platform that can serve as a search engine for content, allowing content creators and their clients to efficiently and effectively work with massive amounts of content. Offerings like online courses, memberships, training hubs, and coaching portals often contain a dizzying amount of material, and it’s easy to get lost in this sea of content. Searchie’s search feature saves time and frustration for both the content creator and their clients. Let’s look at how this works and how it’s helpful.

Searchie’s Transcription is the Magic Behind the Search Feature

Every video or audio file that is uploaded to Searchie is automatically transcribed using Searchie’s adaptive transcription. Searchie’s transcription works in over 25 languages, so there’s a good chance that your primary language is supported. You can also “teach” Searchie how to recognize and spell certain names or terms of art that appear frequently in your content. You also have the ability to correct your Searchie transcripts if there’s been a tricky word that didn’t get transcribed correctly. Searchie’s transcriptions are remarkably accurate and useful!

The Searchie Search Bar is the Place to Go

Searchie has a search-engine-style search bar in your Searchie Hub. Let’s say you’re a content creator that has hundreds of videos in your Searchie Library, and you want to locate one of them quickly so you can share it or work with it. Searchie’s search bar eliminates the wild goose chase—simply type in some key words and any piece of content with those words will be presented to you. This can either take you straight to the video you’re looking for (if your search terms were unique enough) or at least dramatically winnow down your choices.

Searchie has a search bar widget that you can install on any or all of the pages in your Searchie Hub. This allows your users to search through all of the content that they have access to in the Hub to get to where they want to go. Perhaps a client loved a powerful example you gave in a live coaching call where you talked about using a tennis ball. By searching “tennis ball,” they can be taken not just to the video where you discussed it but to the exact moment those words were uttered.

Users can also use this to find content that is new to them and relevant to a specific need. For example, a member of a small business Searchie Coaching Hub might search for “Facebook Ads” to see what content you offer that is specific to this topic. That’s a lot faster than combing through all of your modules and materials!

See What Clients Are Searching For

Searchie’s analytics allow you to see the searches that your clients perform using the Searchie Searchie Bar widget. This provides a helpful window into what topics are of most interest to your audience. Are they making a beeline to a specific content area? Are there any topics that they’re searching for that you haven’t addressed yet? If so, time to make some content that fills this need!
